I made a reservation at Brilliant Bridal Boutique to just try on wedding dress styles and hopefully find a silhouette I liked. Unlike other shops, you can try on a dress they have and take it home the same day instead of ordering it and waiting for the dress to arrive. Naturally I chose a couple different styles and fabrics for some options. The first one I tried on I actually wasn't sure I would like, but it fit like a glove. When I looked at myself in the mirror it gave me this immense joy and sense of "right-ness". Every other one did not give me a feeling anywhere close to that and in the end, I took it home. I can't wait until the day I can wear it!! Thank you Mama for helping me get the dress of my dreams!!
We were finally able to get our professional engagement photos done and I’m happy to report they came out perfect! Thank you to Momma Buck and Auntie Desiree for helping make this possible!
On the weekend of Oct. 4, Nicole's aunt came into town and dropped off the Save-The-Date keepsakes and the invitations she had been creating for us. Over the weekend we were able to finish the minor details and package everything. We had a lot of fun completing these; thank you to everyone who was involved in the process!! Before the end of the month, we're going to be delivering the Save-The-Dates. Invitations will be sent out in December as a reminder for everyone. We can't wait to see you all to celebrate!!
On 11.28, Brian and I made our way to Cali so we could gather some info on the best places/prices to buy materials for decorations. We met up with my Auntie Angie (thank you so much for all you do for us Auntie :,) ) the next morning to explore the flower and fabric district in downtown LA. Although it's not exactly an environment we're used to being in (iykyk lol), it was an extremely important and informative visit and we had a lot of fun. Can't wait to go back and gather the materials!!
Our first rehearsal appointment with our choreographer!!! We've both been so so excited to see what our choreographer had cooked up for us after so many weeks. Guys, we LOVED IT!! I maybe cried a little seeing it because it was so cute lol. After meeting up and learning the first parts of it, we decided on the amount of appointments we'll need to learn it and clean it up. This dance is so beautiful, and watching it all come together has meant the world to us. Allee, you've absolutely captured the vision!!!
On 12/16, Brian and I were finally able to go to look for suits for him and all the groomsmen. We tried a couple of places, but eventually on 12/18 we found a place that had a lot of options and was very reasonably priced!!
We're officially 90 days away from the ceremony!! We're thrilled about the opportunity to not only start our forever together, but also to spend the day with all of you! That being said, we were also finally able to finish and upload our registry. We've also included a honeymoon fund for those who prefer experiences over physical gifts. But truly, celebrating together is the greatest gift we could receive. Whether you bring a present, a card, or just yourself —we're so grateful for every one of you!
